Málaga
Founded by the Phoenicians, Malaga came to be one of the most important Roman colonies in the Mediterranean and, later on, under the rule of the Arabs, it became the port for Granada. Today, the capital of the Costa del Sol, Picasso's beautiful city of light continues to be an open place, busy and accommodating. Its gastronomy brings together the traces of Al-Andalus and even more varied influences, giving rise to a healthy, light and varied cuisine, based on fish, fresh seafood and its delicious greens and vegetables - the fruit of its privileged climate.
